Everlasting Father, I beseech You to provide me with supernatural power so that I do not lose hope in my struggle with cancer. Even while my exterior nature deteriorates, my inner nature is being regenerated on a daily basis. Because I gaze not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; because what can be seen (like my disease) is transient, but what cannot be seen is everlasting, Amen.

Oh, Lord, it appears like everything around me is collapsing. I’ve been diagnosed with cancer, and I’m in a lot of pain. But in my sorrow, I rely on You; I cry out to You, my God, for aid. I pray to You in trust, knowing that Your temple hears my voice and that my prayer reaches Your ears. Thank You for hearing me in my hour of need; may this knowledge comfort me as I travel this path, Amen.
God of Might, I wait for You because I know You will replenish my strength, that I will mount up with wings like eagles, that I will run and not be tired, that I will walk and not faint.
